Top 5 Winter Wedding Color Schemes and Trends

There’s nothing wrong with choosing a traditional color scheme for your wedding. However, there are various color schemes to choose from if you want your wedding to be seasonal. You can take inspiration from Christmas tree farms or keep it simple and minimalistic with rustic neutrals
In this blog post, we’ve put together 5 of our top favorite color combinations for winter wedding themes.

White, Ivory, and Taupe

There’s something about choosing a neutral color palette for a winter wedding. It’s the perfect way to pay homage to bare trees, dried leaves, cozy barns, and frozen prairies. This color scheme is ideal for a farmhouse wedding with wooden banquet tables and organic bouquets

Black and White Color Scheme

Are you fascinated by Truman Capote and the fabulous story of his black and white ball? Why not host your very own black and white wedding ball? Feel free to put a fresh and modern twist on the traditional color scheme by playing with gold accents.

Decorate the venue with gold vases and fill them with white florals and a sprinkling of dark blooms like black dahlias. You can also elevate the black-and-white table settings by displaying golden cutlery. Make sure you’re only adding pops of gold. As you may end up overdoing it and taking the attention away from your central theme.

Since 2011, I have seen many different trends come and go in the event industry as an event planner and designer. As we enter a new way of living with the current pandemic, micro-events are becoming popular. Such as a virtual party with background decorations, a drive-by baby shower, or an intimate outside wedding. Regardless of the celebration being smaller and handled differently, the love and joy continue. That being said, one popular design trend my clients are asking for more these days is decor for a boho picnic-style setup. It can be suitable for any celebration. This setup creates a fun and cozy atmosphere outside while maintaining social distancing. As we head into fall and winter, the picnic style set up can still be a viable option. By using space heaters and tents would accommodate for the cold temperatures and rain.
