Goodbye 2018!! Hello 2019!!

14 events in 10 days straight. It was a busy December! Trust me I am not complaining, and it has been a roller coaster of all kinds of fun events in 2018. Some big—like 1500 guests big—and some intimate like 15 guests. Some with celebrities and some with Fortune 10 companies. There were days I used double booths and then were days with double bookings. This year has been fantastic, and I can’t wait to see what next year looks like for #PopLifePhotoBooth!

Here is a quick overview of this beautiful 2018. We started our first quarter with a few events, but the highlight was our first wedding of the year in March with Brittany & Marqus held at the beautiful Palm Event Center in the Vineyard of Pleasanton. They had a full band (#SoulPacificBand) that rocked the place upside down and all the way around. The weather was perfect, sunny and warm. The venue was fantastic and the guests were so happy.

Moleen & Mluguah

Moleen & Mluguah

The second quarter we started with Moleen & Mluguah’s wedding in April held at Garré Vineyard in Livermore. The venue was magical with its private garden and fields of vineyards, with Italian cypress trees surrounding this beautiful state-of-the-art venue. After the couple finished their vows, they entered the Bella Rosa building with a traditional African dance, and that was something I will never forget.

Sean & Jane

Sean & Jane

We ended that quarter in June with a wedding after party for Sean & Jane at Verso in San Francisco. It was a cozy venue and the perfect size for this fun crowd. This couple knew how to make their guests feel extra special. The live music was on point, and everyone and I mean everyone was on the dance floor. I don’t think anyone wanted this party to end, including myself!

SF Aids Walk

Our third quarter slash crazy busy summer, we were fortunate to be at ten magical weddings and eight private events, including a few notable fundraisers. I can go on and on about the beautiful weddings, but the one event that stood out for me was the SFAids Walk in July at the Golden Gate Park. This special event has been around for decades and has raised more than $90 million for HIV programs and services in the San Francisco Bay Area. Everyone was extremely grateful and humble. Such a positive and fun atmosphere and we hope to be included in many years to come. You can go to https://sf.aidswalk.net for more info.

YelpsGiving

Now the last quarter was a big one! From October to December we did a total of 28 events, and most of them were corporate and private parties. October started with the Homecoming Dance at Carondelet High School with over 600 students taking lots and lots of photos, and ending the year with an event for Bank of the West with over 1500 guests using two photo booths side by side. The event that stood out for me was “Yelpsgiving,” held at the Yelp corporate office in San Francisco for their top sales team and guests. They put out a huge traditional Thanksgiving feast with all the fixings. They gave out individual awards from the best hair to the best personality and many other humorous “best of” awards. This was a great crowd, and everyone took home a photo print to remember the event.

Sustainable Project

I can’t forget to mention the other companies that chose us to capture their events, including The Sustainable Project, Oakland Natives, Chevron, Robert Half, Anki, Kaiser Permanente, 55 Second Street and the Oakland Raiders. 2018 was the best year so far for our photo booth business, and we are so grateful for all the incredible 5 star reviews and receiving the Best of the Knot award. We look forward to many more special events in 2019 for Pop Life Photo Booth, and we can’t wait to see those happy, smiling, goofy faces in front of our photo booth. On behalf of my family, we wish you the best year ever! Thanks for making 2018 amazing!

Here is a video of the best of 2018. Enjoy!
